About Nomad Eats Catering
Nomad Eats Catering is a collective of creative chefs, culinary storytellers, and flame-driven dreamers rooted in Marrakech. This is modern Moroccan catering. We blend culture, cuisine, and connection into food that hits deeper than flavour, it hits memory.

Our Philosophy
Led by Chef Driss Mellal
Grounded in his Amazigh heritage and raised in Morocco’s mountain regions, Chef Driss Mellal carries a deep connection to his roots – one that later expanded through art school and culinary training in France. His career in kitchens across Spain and France sharpened his Mediterranean sensibility, while travels through Asia, Europe & Indonesia continue to shape his bold, globally influenced style.
An artist at heart, Driss brings a design-forward approach to flavour and presentation, a signature that defines both the dishes he creates and the creative direction of Nomad Eats.
Travel shaped the rest. Today, Driss leads a contemporary-meets-bohemian catering company from Marrakech, carrying his roots with him as he cooks for:
- fashion shows
- exhibitions
- editorials and photoshoots
- destination weddings
- private events worldwide
As Driss says...
/ words from the kitchen“Moroccan food was never meant to sit still. It travels, through memory, through hands, through fire. We believe food should feel alive - seasonal, sustainable, expressive, and always true to the land that raised us."
A Culinary Philosophy Built on Movement
The cultural, artistic, and travel-driven influences that inform Driss’s modern Moroccan cuisine.
For Nomad Eats, catering isn’t just a business, it’s a continuation of the nomadic rhythm Driss and the team were born into. Every table they builds, every fire they cook over, every story they serve is part of a larger journey.
Driss’s food photography and artistic plating have helped redefine what modern Moroccan cuisine can look and feel like: expressive, textural, soulful, and beautifully untraditional.
